  22. By Gary Barnum Summer's here, and it's time to catch a wave … wave three of our Mystery Models, that is. And what more perfect way to honor the season than with a surfing theme? Cruise to Walmart in July for these little pearls. With popular castings and vintage Tiki-type deco, these editions are ready for fun in the sun. While some of these represent the more laid-back beach attitude, others represent shark guards. Be it surfing or safety, you can count on these cars for collectability. Each package includes a colorful sticker of the car inside! Some cars are going to be harder to find, so you may have to dive deep to come up with them. There will be one more Mystery Models mix this year at your local Walmart stores, but we'll howl at you with that info later. 23. By Gary Barnum Get your party on – and your RLC Party car – at the HW Collectors Nationals in Indianapolis! The party will be Friday night, 4/8. Read on for more info. What: Red Line Club Party When: Friday, Apr. 8, 2016 at approx. 9:00 p.m. Where: Sheraton Hotel – Indianapolis, IN Getting In The party begins once the Charity Auction is over, or at 9:00 p.m., whichever is later. Since it's a Red Line Club membership benefit, only 2016 Red Line Club members are allowed to enter the party and purchase the RLC Party car. (RLC Party cars shown above are examples from previous years.) If you joined the Red Line Club for 2016 before March 15, 2016, your RLC membership number should appear on your Nationals badge, and you'll easily be admitted to the party. If you recently joined the Red Line Club (March 15 or later), you'll need the following: Your 2016 RLC Membership Order Status printout* Your Collectors Nationals badge A photo ID (you must be over 18) The names on all of these must match. *Click on the "Orders" link under your “My Account” drop-down menu at HWC. On your Orders page, find your 2016 RLC Membership order and click on it. This will display your Order Status, and you can print that out. Or you can print out the Order Confirmation email you will have received when you purchased your membership. Party Car/Raffle Tickets When you enter the party, you can buy your RLC Party car – always a hot-ticket item! – for just $10.00. (Cash only!) You'll also be given one raffle ticket for free, since we'll raffle off some other cool Hot Wheels prizes later in the party. You can also buy more raffle tickets if you want. There's also another way to get more raffle tickets for free if you want more chances at winning a prize. Bring some HWC, RLC, Nationals, and Convention cars (excluding Code 3 or customized editions) – still packaged – to open. Why? Because you'll have a chance to open the packaged cars you bring at the "Opening Party." For each one you bring and open at the party, you'll receive one raffle ticket! There is a limit of 10 tickets per guest at the Opening Party. Eligible cars: HWC Series cars and HWC Special Editions cars RLC Membership cars and other RLC Exclusive cars, such as sELECTIONs Convention or Nationals cars (excluding Code 3 or customized editions) Frequently Asked Questions What do I need to bring? Your Collectors Nationals badge, a photo ID, and possibly your RLC Membership Order Status if you joined recently $10 (cash only!) to buy the RLC Party car Who can attend the RLC Party? Can I go to the party if I’m here for the Collectors Nationals? Only 2016 Red Line Club members who have a paid ticket to the 16th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals will be admitted. You can't join the Red Line Club at the event. I have five RLC memberships. Can I bring four people to the party? No. You can only use one of your memberships to get in, and you can only buy one car regardless of how many memberships you have. My friend/spouse/parent/child has an RLC membership that I paid for, so the membership has my name on it. Can he/she get in? Can he/she buy a party car? If your friend/spouse/parent/child has an RLC membership in your name, you can both come in -- but you can only purchase one party car. Can I bring my kids to the party? Yes. However, they won't receive any of the RLC benefits (even if you have a membership in their name). RLC members have to be 18 or older, so we can't honor a membership for a minor. What will the party car be? Sorry, but we try to keep it a secret until the day of the RLC Party. How much does the party car cost? How many can I buy? The party car is $10 each (cash only!) and is limited to one per person who must be an RLC member. For the Opening Party, where do we get cars to open? Do you buy them at the event? Or bring them from home? The eligible cars must be HWC, RLC, Nationals, or Convention editions (excluding Code 3 or customized editions). You can bring them from home or possibly pick them up in the sales room, room-to-room trading, or elsewhere at the show. How many raffle tickets do I get for opening up an HWC/RLC/Nationals/Convention car? Can I open more than 10 of these cars? You can open as many as you like, but we'll only give you one ticket per car with a maximum of 10 tickets. Do I have to be present to win a raffle prize? Yes. The party is always a great time and a great reward for RLC members. Let's have some fun!
