gee, too bad canadians are excluded from yet ANOTHER hot wheels promo

it is a known fact that mattel does not like canadians, as we have
-no zamacs
-no exclusives
-few supers
-excluded from promos
-no open-a-case events like kday
-old cases

I'm unhappy that these promotions are no longer available to Canada. I have in the past purchased & received a program vehicle from Mattel in the USA.
What is the reasoning for this change in policy?

This car is awesome. Looks like I will be at the mercy of the secondary market on Ebay. I live in Australia - same issue as being in Canada, with the added sting of paying huge postage to ship cars from secondary sellers in the states. No doubt a large number of US buyers will gobble these up and make up to 30 - 40 dollars per car from guys like me. Anyhow rant over, cool car - nicer than some of the supers released this year!! Happy hunting folks.

I just got mine today, sent my forms in last month. I was not expecting them so quickly, so cheers on that quick processing! I'm impressed with how they look. They look a lot better than the pictures, granted i don't really care for the spectra-flame black color. I just feel black doesn't create a nice dramatic effect that other spectra-flame colors usually provide. Still a great piece to any collection though!

Help! May be dumb question but here it is anyways... Do we have to pay for the package containing the card boards being mailed out? Or is that paid already with the $3.50

Thanks!

Well ...I bought 20 cars , unfortunately they were .84? (On sale) , I didn't realize the official rules changed this year? $20.00 before tax...oops my total came to $19.60... (.40 short!)
I received a letter saying my order was not processed and my $3.50 for shipping was not charged to my credit card , my receipt was .40 short . Even though I bought 20 cars and sent the cards like every previous years promo... to my nowledge there was never a $20 limit , before tax ? If there was , I believe the cars were $1.09 each and the total for 20 cars would have been sufficent , I am going to toys-r-us and purchasing one more car and I will send the cardboard and receipt and include a check for $3.50 for shipping and handling . I am in hope that Mattel will accept this and process my order accordingly ? I sure would hate to miss out on this one! I have done the Kday and toys-r-us mail in promo ' s for the last 3 or 4 years. Thank you in advance for pushing my order through . I can't wait to see what's next ! Wayne

I send in a receipt for 20 cars for $21.87 with 20 cards all bought at Toys R Us. At the same time. HW sent me back a letter saying 4 of the cards where not the correct code and they could not process my order and didn't charge my card. Great! But they did not send back my receipt or the 16 correct cards so it couldn't resend the corrected order. So now I have to go back and buy another 20 cars make sure they are the right code (why does TRU have cars that don't qualify) and send them in. In the mean time I am out $20 plus $4.50 shipping and have 20 worthless lose cards! What a deal! Almost as good as this new website! Boo Hotwheels

my submission was deemed non compliant either. sent in receipts for 18 basic cars and a 5 pack but used the UPCs from two 5 packs and a 9 pack. was told the cards/UPC should match the ones on the receipt tho i don't see this on the official rules. I spent $20+ on cars I don't want for nothing. with TRU here hardly having anything good in stock, looks like I'll be looking at getting their mail ins from secondary sources
