These Wheels Are a Scream: Halloween Series!

By Gary Barnum

If you’re doing it right, you probably plan your costume in advance. Not that you’d dress up as a Hot Wheels car – but you could. Prepare now for the scary season with our Halloween series!

Six frightening rides feature foreboding deco with a fearsome jack-o’-lantern emblem. Entombed on a dark blister card, they will make for chilling races if you unleash them. But don’t worry – since they’re Hot Wheels, we’re sure you’ll come out ahead.

I think that Mattel did a decent job with this Halloween Set. Just because the Adult collector doesn't want anything to do with them dosen't mean there garbage. (DAR 1988) Said it perfectly... there toy's!!!! Made for Kids!!!! I'm missing the Rigor Motor to complete my set. Never thought to hand them out on Halloween that woukd be a neat idea.

That Covelight looks really good, need that to sit next to the old Cloak and Dagger. Plus the Power Rocket and Rocket Box as well. RB looks like the Hyper Mite from awhile back.

Nice set for the kids or giving out for Halloween (as some have mentioned) or the all around Hot Wheels collector. (Which I am one!) I already have a set that I found at an online store. I see the Ebay and Amazon re-sellers are disappointed SMH! Well more for the real collectors. Happy Hunting all!

I like 'em. My kids will too. Lots of effort goes into these cars, graphics, card art etc. May not be everyone's "cup O tea," but they're someone's. Ive gotten to meet some of the minds behind these works. They're good at what they do. That'd be be such a cool job....except the part when unknowing, ignorant type folks talk trash. That'd be annoying...albeit mildly.

To all those saying stop complaining and the cars are intended for kids. Seriously, these cars are for everyone, not just kids. I play with my two-year-old son and he never picks up the fantasy cars. He plays with the camaros, corvettes and trucks of the world.

Fantasy cars don't suck but when every store I go to only has them and Euro cars it makes me wanna barf!
