Hot Wheels Roadkill Rotsun + 1 Year of MotorTrend’s Streaming Service!

By Gary Barnum

In case you missed it: the "Rotsun" was created from a rusted-out 1971 Datsun 240Z by Roadkill, one of MotorTrend's exclusive hit shows. Is it the wrong thing done right? We can definitely say it’s right for your collection!

Thanks to the Hot Wheels partnership with MotorTrend, you can pick up the Rotsun and a one-year subscription to MotorTrend’s streaming service! MotorTrend is the world’s premier destination for automotive entertainment, featuring original shows, subscriber exclusives, and live events. Stream it anywhere, anytime, ad free!

To take advantage of this two-part offer, click this link..

PLEASE NOTE: This is a separate offer from the two-car offer from March which included the ’71 Datsun 240Z. If you purchased that offer, you will still receive those cars. This is a limited time offer, and supplies are limited.

When you place your order, your MotorTrend subscription will be activated immediately. Due to legal measures passed halting most business operations to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, shipping of the car will be delayed until further notice. You will be notified directly by Mattel via email as soon as this item will be shipped to you. We anticipate that you'll receive the "Rotsun" vehicle approximately 20 weeks after we begin to ship the product, which we anticipate will begin in November. These dates are subject to change. Please see the Official Rules for more details about anticipated shipping dates.

1# -if we already register for the previous 2 car offer April (mainline & realriders version) we will still be get this car.

2# - if we already register once the only way to get this car as single is to create a second account? Is there any way a existing clients to get this offer?

Thats the beauty of the car. It is a hunk of junk, but it is probably one of the most fun cars they have based on the smiles. You should check the show out. You probably wouldn't understand it though since you're probably lacking a funny bone.

So, do you insult everyone that disagrees with you, or should I be flattered by your attention?

If you already registered with MotorTrend for the 2-car set, you will get the car pictured above. The car pictured above is the same car as the second car in the previous offer. Those who register beginning 8-18 will only get the one car pictured above.

This is a better deal. $30 for one year of MT streaming + 1 premium car vs $50 for one year of MT streaming + 1 mainline + 1 premium car.

I never got this car with the first deal.  They shipped me the first one only.  Will my second car ever be shippedt

You will now that it is done. This is the second car. Sadly those that are getting in on this now will not be getting the first car. So it is lucky that we jumped on the first round of this offer the first time and will end up with both cars.

He's right you are lacking a funny bone.  It looks like shirt because that's what the car looks like.   If you watched the show you'd be amused and informed.  While they are ziptieing radiators into cars and one time ziptieing a motor down because of a broken motor mount they explain what they should be doing.  So they tell you the right way then proceed to do the wrong thing.  They literally take DEAD cars and make the run and run well.   Its OK, you can watch Hot Rod Garage if you want to see it done more professionally.   The whole MT stream is quite good.   You'd probably really hate "The Disgustang" except its probably worth close to 30K now after getting rescued from a junkyard where it sat for over 20 years.

As an existing Motortrend network subscriber, I wasn't able to participate in the previous offer. Anyone know the rules for this offer? I'd happily renew my subscription early for a year to get this car!

During the sale it was stated that the second car would be backordered until the end of the year. That was before all the covid mess.

Keep messaging motor trend eventually a manager intervenes. Ask why your address for shipping was not sent over to Mattel .  If that doesn’t work call Mattel 800 858 0102,not open weekends, and ask where your car is if motortrend did send over your address info. I got a email from Mattel letting me know my order was shipped months ago. You can’t really track the box though so just appeared in my P.O. Box months ago. Good luck.

If your talking about the second car, those haven’t been shipped, so they won’t have an answer. Based on info looks like u might get in November like me, I only received first car

The show might be funny and entertaining.  I understand that the Hot Wheel is a replica of a car built on the show.  I used to watch Top Gear and loved how they would create custom cars for their challenges.  But I wouldn't want any 1:64 replicas of those sitting on a display shelf in my house either.  It's just not my cup of tea as far as collecting goes.  Can't a person share their opinion without everyone making judgments about their intelligence or sense of humor?  Does it personally offend you when people have other opinions?  Attacking others because they have a different opinion seems to be a plague in this country.
