Hot Wheels 2020 Pop Culture Mix 1: Led Zeppelin!

By Gary Barnum

Get ready to rock & roll! Our Pop Culture series will ramble on into 2020 with the first mix dedicated to Led Zeppelin, among the greatest rock bands of all time.

The near-mythical band released its first album 50 years ago (yes, just the year after Hot Wheels debuted). They followed with a string of hit records that showcased their talent and versatility and made them one of the most successful rock acts of all time.

These editions pay tribute to the covers of their first four albums, plus the iconic Swan Song logo which became their label. Our premium Pop Culture series vehicles feature top-notch deco, Real Riders wheels, and die-cast/die-cast construction. If you listen for them rocking in stores now, finding them might not be as hard, hard, hard as it seems.

Found them in Target last week. Not a whiff at WM around here. WM  shelves look like store shelves in Russia during the Cold War: NOTHING on them. Nice set for sure.

Do a Metallica set, at they are still somewhat relvant. And as a bonus James has some insane custom cars you could use for castings. You know if you're getting tired of using the same ones over and over.

Not necessarily in any order just great album cover art.

Stones

Doors

Floyd

Molly Hatchet... if we're talking about album cover art there was none better than Flirting with Disaster.

Same old castings. The only reason I will look for them is because the cover albums art on the cards.
